Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across various facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial work, commercial cleaning, and facilities maintenance, ensuring that all spaces meet high standards of hygiene and presentation. This role requires strong time management skills, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively with team members and clients. Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial and industrial settings
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for tasks such as window washing, floor polishing, or minor repairs as needed
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently to ensure optimal results
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and other designated areas according to established protocols
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas requiring additional attention or maintenance
- Follow safety guidelines related to heavy lifting,
chemical handling, and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work progress or issues encountered
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks when required to support the overall upkeep of the premises
Experience
- Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment is advantageous
- Experience in facilities maintenance or custodial services demonstrates a strong foundation for this role
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts
- Strong communication skills to ensure transparent coordination within teams and with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of the job effectively
