About Our Client Dundas Manor is a non-profit long-term care home in Winchester, Ontario, governed by a Board of Directors and committed to providing quality care, resident safety, and a supportive environment for older adults. As the home prepares for an exciting period of growth, it is planning to expand from its current 98 beds to a new 128-bed home, projected to open next door to the existing residence in early 2027. Position Overview Dundas Manor is seeking an experienced Director of Care (DOC) to provide strategic leadership to its Nursing Department, oversee resident care services, and support the continued delivery of high-quality, resident-centred care. Reporting to the Administrator, the DOC will guide clinical practice, nursing operations, staffing, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and resource management. This is an opportunity for an experienced nursing leader to sustain high standards of care while helping the organization prepare for the operational and clinical demands of an expanded residence. Why This Role Stands Out

- Shape Clinical Standards at Scale: Lead nursing operations, staffing plans, and resident care systems as the home prepares to serve a larger resident population.
- Influence Decisions Beyond the Nursing Department: Contribute to strategic planning, accreditation activities, quality improvement, and risk management while working closely with the Administrator and management team.
- Connect Clinical Quality With Financial Accountability:
Oversee the Nursing Department’s annual budget, monitor expenditures, and ensure clinical documentation supports appropriate resident funding.
- Step Into Broader Home Leadership When Needed: Assume the Administrator’s role and overall management of the home during their absence, offering a wider leadership remit beyond nursing services. Qualifications
- Professional Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), with annual licensing requirements maintained.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) preferred; a Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) or Registered Nurse, Extended Class (RN EC) is an asset.

- Additional
Requirements:
