Rexdale Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys being hands-on, and understands that working in a veterinary clinic involves both cuddles and hard work. From helping our veterinary team care for patients to keeping the clinic organized, you will play an important role in making every visit a positive experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and treatments.
- Help safely handle and restrain dogs and cats.
- Comfort and monitor patients while they are in the clinic.
- Prepare examination rooms and treatment areas between appointments.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain a hygienic clinic workplace.
- Assist with preparing equipment and supplies for procedures and surgeries.
- Help care for hospitalized patients, including feeding and maintaining clean kennels.
- Stock supplies and keep treatment areas organized.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and general clinic duties.
- Help communicate with pet owners in a friendly and professional manner.
- Work with the entire clinic team to ensure patients receive compassionate care.

Who We’re Looking For





- A genuine love for animals and a compassionate attitude toward their owners.
- Previous veterinary clinic or animal-care experience is an asset, but willingness to learn is important.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Comfort handling dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments.
- Willingness to perform cleaning and other essential clinic duties.
- Ability to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, and follow clinic safety procedures.
- Flexibility to work weekdays and occasional weekends, as required.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
