POSITION: Field Service Technician (Blow Molding)
STATUS: Full-Time, Permanent Position
TRAVEL: Approximately 50% International Travel
SALARY: $100,000–$120,000
LOCATION: Greater Toronto Area (GTA) - Markham, ON

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be fluent in both Chinese and English
· Strong hands-on experience with Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) machinery
· Experience installing, commissioning, servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting blow molding equipment
· Solid mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
· Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial controls, sensors, drives and automation systems
· Valid passport and driver's licence, with reliable personal transportation
· Willingness to travel internationally, primarily throughout North America, with occasional travel to China and Europe
· Ability to work independently at customer facilities and communicate directly with equipment manufacturers and engineering teams
· Experience with other blow molding technologies or related plastics machinery is an asset

OVERVIEW:
· Install, commission and set up blow molding machinery at customer facilities.
· Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and control system issues to minimize equipment downtime.
· Perform equipment maintenance, repairs, adjustments and preventative maintenance.
· Diagnose production and processing issues and implement effective technical solutions.
· Communicate directly with equipment manufacturers and engineering teams in China regarding technical issues and equipment performance.




· Train customer operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
· Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
· Assist with machine setup, production requirements, preventative maintenance and spare parts recommendations.
· Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customers through effective service and support.

TRAVEL & OFFICE EXPECTATIONS:
· Approximately 50% travel, primarily to customer sites throughout the United States for equipment installations, servicing and troubleshooting, with occasional travel to China and Europe.
· Most trips last 3 days to 1 week, with occasional trips of up to 2 weeks depending on installation schedules and customer training requirements.
· When not travelling, employees are expected to attend the Markham-area office every Tuesday and one additional day per week, typically Wednesday. Remote work is available on other days.
· Candidates based in the GTA

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
