Contract opportunity for an experienced developer supporting the modernization of legacy Adxstudio portals to Microsoft Power Pages for a public-sector organization in Alberta.

- Remote work within Canada, with occasional office attendance potentially required on reasonable notice.
- 6 months contract
- Full-time: 36.25 hours per week, 7.25 hours per day.

What & Why:
Our client is modernizing its legacy portal infrastructure to Microsoft Power Pages, using Dataverse and the Enhanced Data Model. You will assess existing Adxstudio configurations and help migrate forms, templates, web files, custom code, integrations and security settings. The assignment includes practical use of enterprise Copilot tools to support code conversion, troubleshooting and migration activities.

Who:
You will work with the project’s technical and business stakeholders to plan and deliver the migration, validate functionality, resolve defects and support launch activities. The environment includes Adxstudio v8, Power Apps Portals, Microsoft Power Pages, Dataverse, Liquid, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Power Platform CLI and Microsoft Copilot tools.

You:
You bring hands-on portal development and migration experience. You can investigate legacy customizations, identify migration dependencies and implement changes while maintaining integrations and access controls. You use AI development tools with sound technical judgment, reviewing and testing generated code before incorporating it into the solution. You can also document your work clearly and transfer knowledge to other developers.

Critical Experience Requirements:





- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
- PL-400 plus PL-200 or AB-410, or equivalent experience. The client describes equivalent experience as typically five years designing, developing, implementing and supporting Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and related Dynamics 365 applications.
- At least one year using Microsoft Copilot for Liquid translation, JavaScript generation and troubleshooting.
- At least three years developing/migrating Adxstudio Portals v8 to Power Apps Portals and Microsoft Power Pages.
- At least three years developing Adxstudio Portals v8, Power Apps Portals and Microsoft Power Pages.
- At least three years migrating standard portal data models to the Enhanced Data Model using Power Platform.

Nice to Have:

- Three years integrating Power Pages with external payment, authentication and SharePoint systems.
- Three years mapping legacy security roles to Dataverse Table Permissions and Web Roles.
- Three years with Liquid, custom JavaScript, HTML5, custom logic and CSS3 refactoring within portal templates.

Compensation:
Hourly contract compensation will be discussed based on experience, engagement structure and alignment with the client’s requirements. Expense reimbursement is not available for this assignment.
