Principal / Lead GCP Cloud Architect
Required Qualifications & Technical Experience

- Cloud Architecture Experience: 8+ years in cloud architecture roles, including at least 3 years specifically on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in an architect or lead capacity.

- Hyperscaler Migration: Demonstrated experience designing and executing live production migrations from another hyperscaler (AWS or Azure) to GCP.

- Core GCP Stack: Deep working knowledge of GCP services relevant to this initiative:

- Compute & Data: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), Cloud Storage, Memorystore, Vertex AI

- Networking & Security: Cloud Load Balancing, VPC / Shared VPC, IAM, Secret Manager

- Observability: Cloud Trace, Cloud Monitoring

- Azure Equivalent Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the source Azure services being replaced:

- Azure OpenAI, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage, Azure Cache for Redis, Application Insights

- AI/LLM Architecture:

- Hands-on experience with LLM-based application architectures, including agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain).





- Familiarity with practical nuances across LLM providers when migrating (e.g., prompt behavior variations, JSON-output reliability, context window vs. cost trade-offs).

- Data Migration & High Availability: Proven track record designing data migration, dual-write, and reconciliation strategies for live production systems with zero-downtime requirements.

- IaC & CI/CD Guidance: Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD orchestration (Harness preferred, or equivalent) sufficient to guide and direct infrastructure engineering teams.

- Communication & Leadership: Strong stakeholder management skills; confident presenting architectural trade-offs, risks, and strategies to technical and business executives at phase-gate reviews.

Nice to Have

- Certification: Google Cloud Qualified Cloud Architect certification.

- Agent Frameworks: Experience evaluating or architecting with Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK) to inform future-state AI agent architecture decisions.
