KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and develop the team: Set expectations, coach engineers, support career development, manage performance, and contribute to hiring and onboarding.
- Own delivery: Turn ambiguous goals into practical plans, establish accountability, remove blockers, and follow commitments through to completion.
- Manage planning and execution: Partner with Product, UX, Data, and adjacent teams on scope, acceptance criteria, capacity, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery forecasts.
- Provide technical leadership: Guide architecture and code-level decisions, participate in design and code reviews, and help troubleshoot application, integration, and infrastructure issues.
- Maintain engineering and operational standards: Improve testing, observability, security, privacy, accessibility, release readiness, and incident response.
- Build sustainable delivery practices: Use retrospectives and delivery metrics to address recurring problems while protecting time for technical improvements and mentoring.
- Support practical AI adoption: Help engineers use AI tools across development, testing, review, and documentation, with clear validation and accountable human decisions.





Core hands-on depth:

- PHP / Laravel: Application architecture, API design, authentication, background jobs, and troubleshooting.
- JavaScript / TypeScript / Vue: Component design, state management, testing, and the Vite build toolchain.
- Data and integrations: PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases, Redis caching and queues, APIs, and event-driven integrations.

Required working knowledge and technical breadth:

- React Native / React: Mobile application delivery across iOS and Android, API integration, authentication, and push notifications.
- AWS / software delivery: Docker, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
- Quality and operations: Automated testing, search indexing, identity, and observability, with tools including PHPUnit, Vitest, Playwright, Jest, Appium, Auth0, and Sentry.
