About AEI

Advanced Equipment Inc. designs and manufactures custom industrial freezing equipment for food processing customers, including spiral and tunnel freezers.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Production Coordinator with practical manufacturing knowledge and solid follow-through. You will work with our engineering, purchasing and shop teams to keep production information current, resolve scheduling obstacles and coordinate work between two plants. You will also support customer delivery updates and installation arrangements.

This role works closely with the Foreman and Shop Supervisor, who manage daily shop assignments. You will coordinate priorities, track commitments and bring resource or scheduling decisions to management when needed.

What You Will Do

- Maintain production schedules and follow up with department leads on progress, remaining work and realistic completion dates.

- Check drawing, material and resource readiness with responsible teams and follow up on shortages or missing information.

- Coordinate work between plants, including laser cutting, foaming and machining requests; assess urgent work against existing commitments.

- Keep clear action and request logs, communicate approved changes and escalate conflicts with their impacts and possible solutions.

- Coordinate assigned customer delivery updates and installation, startup and service arrangements after obtaining internal confirmation and approval.

- Improve practical tracking and handover processes and help build better information for future production estimates.

What You Bring

- Three or more years of production, manufacturing or project coordination experience, or equivalent practical experience.

- An understanding of fabrication, machining or equipment assembly, plus the ability to read mechanical drawings and bills of materials.

- Confidence following up with experienced shop personnel, asking clear questions and identifying when a decision needs management input.

- Strong organization and communication skills, with accurate records and dependable follow-through.

- Good Excel skills; ERP or job tracking experience is an asset. Custom machinery or industrial equipment experience is preferred.

Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Benefits:

- Casual dress
- Dental care
- Extended health care
- Life insurance
- Paid time off

Application question(s):

- Can you read and interpret mechanical drawings and bills of materials to identify production requirements?
- Which manufacturing processes have you worked with directly? Please select all that apply sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining, equipment assembly, electrical assembly, or other.
- What tools have you used to track production schedules, material shortages and outstanding actions? Please briefly describe how you used them.
- Briefly describe a time when an urgent production request conflicted with existing work. What was your role, how were priorities decided, and what was the outcome?
