JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Unit Clerk provides efficient clerical services within the Emergent Neurosurgical Assessment Program Clinic. The Unit Clerk is always the first point of contact and will provide a warm welcome to all patients and families coming to ENAP Clinic. The clerk will provide efficient clerical support to the outpatient clinics, including scheduling of all physician/treatment/nurse appointments, ordering lab, diagnostic testing, triaging patient phone calls, coordinating physician phone calls. The Unit Clerk complies with Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a secure work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated ability to work independently, coordinating and prioritizing multiple assignments

EDUCATION/TRAINING EXPERIENCE:
Grade 12 Education - required;
Minimum of one year related experience in a health care environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Medical Terminology - required (will be tested)
