ACCOUNTANT

Location: Mississauga, ON (On-site)

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger accounts, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and periodic reporting.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns, as required.
- Review financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Organize and maintain accounting files and records.
- Communicate with clients regarding financial documents and information as needed.
- Support other accounting-related duties and projects as required.

Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.




- Previous experience in an accounting role; experience in public accounting is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
- CPA designation or progress toward a CPA designation is an asset.
