Story Behind the Need:

- The Enterprise Delivery Office (EDO) requires a Project Control Officer to manage its financial processes and help achieve its financial and business goals.
- Key areas include budgeting, financial planning and zero-based forecasting, financial reporting, contract and vendor management, invoice processing and tracking, financial consolidation, and project and portfolio status reporting.

Candidate Value Proposition:

- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of an inclusive and collaborative working environment that encourages creativity and curiosity and celebrates success.
- The team offers a strong support network, and management is committed to investing in its contractors and helping them continue their careers at Client.

Role Responsibilities / Typical Day in Role:

- Manages EDO financial processes, including budgeting, financial planning and forecasting, financial reporting, contract and vendor management, invoice processing and tracking, financial consolidation, and project and portfolio status tracking.
- Leads comprehensive financial review, analysis, and evaluation of EDO performance and reporting, highlighting significant trends, performance measures, and developments. Measures performance against established benchmarks, including the Bank’s strategic and business objectives and the expected returns on specific expenditures. Reports are used primarily by EDO management and the Bank’s Executive Management; commentary must be relevant to these audiences and provide an information framework for decision-making and management action.
- Manages the preparation of the EDO annual budget proposal, covering volume growth, operating expenses, and project budgets, in the context of EDO business objectives, opportunities, and historical performance patterns.
- Supports preparation of EDO annual Business Cases based on EDO business priorities.
- Prepares, supports, and advises EDO Delivery Managers, Project Managers,

and Project Control Officers on consolidated project portfolio status and financial reporting.
- Creates project plans and manages dependencies in accordance with project team needs.
- Provides ongoing, responsive, and professional financial management advice, recommendations, and support to the EDO VP, including the preparation, presentation, and review of financial information related to EDO results.
- Contributes to team success in alignment with the Governance and Regulatory Compliance team by supporting colleagues, contributing individually, and sharing responsibility for achieving team objectives.
- Participates in EDO audit processes to ensure full cooperation and that reviews are completed successfully within the specified timeframe.
- Monitors and oversees established internal processes and controls, and identifies and develops new processes aligned with EDO policies, processes, and roadmap.
- Provides ongoing direction, coaching, and support to the team, including regular feedback and guidance to ensure timely delivery of departmental objectives.
- Participates in establishing project scope to ensure focus on delivery.
- Supports resource requirement identification and expectation management.

Performance Measurement:

- Forecast accuracy: Monthly and quarterly forecasts stay within an agreed range (e.g.±10%), and budget variances are explained before month-end close.
- Timely, accurate reporting: Financial and portfolio status reports are delivered on schedule with no material errors, and leadership finds the commentary clear and useful for decisions.
- Governance and compliance: Audit and control reviews raise no material findings, OKRs, KPIs,

and KRIs are followed and kept up to date.

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have Skills:

- 5-7 years of financial project management experience in large enterprises, preferably in the banking industry
- Proven track record managing financials for high-complexity, high-risk projects with large budgets ($10M+)
- Understanding of Agile project management principles and practices, with experience managing projects in an Agile environment
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., CA PPM, MS Project, PowerPoint) and techniques

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- PMP certification
- Vendor management experience
- Visual storytelling experience (presentations, graphs, etc.)

Soft Skills:

- Solid communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Strong analytical skills
- Mature interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with and influence professionals at all levels

Educational Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline

Best VS. Average Candidate:

- Proactive financial control: The best candidate spots forecast variances, accrual gaps and funding risks early and suggests fixes before month-end. An average candidate tracks and reports the numbers but reacts only after problems appear.
- Reporting for executives: The best candidate turns complex portfolio and financial data into clear, decision-ready reports for EDO leadership and Executive Management. An average candidate produces accurate reports with little analysis or explanation of what the numbers mean.
- Governance and stakeholder influence: The best candidate improves controls and processes and confidently guides Delivery Managers and Project Managers on financial discipline. An average candidate follows existing processes but has less impact across teams.

Interview Process:

- 1st Round: 30-60min with Hiring Manager and Peer
- 2nd Round: 30min with Director
