Position: Senior Software Developer

Duration: 9 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to support the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-grade web applications and cloud-based solutions.

The successful consultant will possess strong expertise in Microsoft .NET technologies, Microsoft Azure, and SQL Server development, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions. This role involves full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) participation, cloud modernization initiatives, application integration development, database optimization, and ongoing production support.

Scope

Develop and support cloud-native and cloud-hosted solutions within Microsoft Azure environments.

Design, develop, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases and related data structures.

Implement and support application integrations using APIs and service-oriented architectures.

Contribute to solution architecture, technical design, and enterprise application modernization initiatives.

Assignment Deliverables

Technical solution designs, architecture documentation, implementation specifications,



and support documentation.

CI/CD deployment pipelines and release automation components.

Unit-tested, maintainable, and production-ready application code.

Migration, deployment, and production support deliverables.

Knowledge transfer documentation and operational support materials.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

Strong experience with .NET web application development (C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs).

Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps).

Strong experience with SQL Server and relational database design, performance tuning, and query optimization.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.

Experience with middleware technologies and gateway integrations.
