This seven-month replacement assignment reports to the Manager, Production and Support Services. The Food Service Worker assists with preparation, service, delivery, collection, and cleanup for residents and facility programs. Duties follow Long Term Care Standards, the Health Protection and Promotion Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and departmental policy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate commercial cleaning equipment
- Transport food, materials, and supplies by hand or hand truck
- Respond to resident inquiries and resolve appropriate concerns




- Meet Regional customer service standards
- Assist assigned employees through buddy training

Requirements:

- Minimum one year's dietary department healthcare experience
- Food Service Worker Certificate or approved college training enrollment
- Ability to obtain certification within three years
- Approved Food Safety Course completion
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
