Support NHS oral health promotion as an Extended Duties Nurse, using clinical expertise and partnership skills to reach communities. Deliver outreach sessions across London and neighbouring East London areas.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust’s Dental Services provide NHS care across East Kent and London. This Extended Duties Nurse post supports the Oral Health Team with supervised tooth brushing in Newham and related areas. You may also contribute to fluoride varnish delivery in schools and other oral health promotion contracts when required. The work combines virtual delivery, face-to-face community sessions, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development. Success requires a positive attitude, excellent clinical skills, independence, proactive working, and composure in challenging situations. You will represent the Service as an ambassador, promoting excellence in working practices and high standards across outreach programmes.



Travel around London is required to reach the communities served.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Oral Health Team’s outreach programmes
- Deliver National Supervised Tooth Brushing sessions
- Contribute to school fluoride varnish programmes
- Engage stakeholders to promote scheme uptake
- Represent the Service as an excellence ambassador
