## Position Overview Title: Security Guard
- BST Certification Provided Employment Type: Full-time Pay Rate: $18.75
- $23.00 per hour ## Site Overview We place guards across a wide range of active client environments, including healthcare facilities, post-secondary campuses, commercial office towers, retail centers, government sites, warehouses, and major event venues hosting concerts and sports events. ## What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct regular foot patrols across indoor and outdoor areas, including stairwells, parkades, and uneven terrain.
- De-escalate conflicts and maintain a safe, welcoming atmosphere for staff, clients, and visitors.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid assistance when required.
- Control access to facilities and monitor CCTV systems.
- Write clear, detailed incident reports following site policies. ## Must Haves
- Do not currently hold a valid BC Security License (this program provides free 40-hour Basic Security Training upon commitment to 6 months of full-time work).
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, with the confidence to speak with team members, clients, members of the public, and emergency responders.
- Physical capability to stand and patrol for the majority of a shift in varying weather conditions. ## Nice-to-Haves
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
