Lead revenue accounting and accounts receivable at Science North in Sudbury, using reconciliations, analysis, and financial controls daily. This permanent full-time position is onsite and not suitable for remote work.

As Accountant – Revenue & Receivables, you will support accurate transaction recording, reconciliation, and reporting across Science North. The work spans invoicing, collections, revenue recognition, journal entries, and monthly close activities. You will collaborate with departments and external clients while improving accounting processes and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead invoicing, payment application, monitoring, and collection activities
- Investigate overdue accounts and resolve customer account discrepancies
- Reconcile revenue, deposits, cash receipts, and point-of-sale transactions




- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for financial close
- Maintain revenue reporting and internal control procedures

Requirements:

- Accounting, finance, business administration diploma or degree
- Progressive accounting experience with reconciliations and journal entries
- Proficiency with accounting systems, Sparkrock, Microsoft 365, and Excel
- Robust analytical, communication, professionalism, accountability, and integrity skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously while managing shifting deadlines
