Learn about BC Assessment and what we do by watching this video You are an organized, service-focused professional who enjoys providing a broad range of paralegal services, including conducting legal research, analyzing case law and precedents, investigating facts, and preparing clear, comprehensive legal summaries to support organizational decision-making. The Paralegal reports directly to the Manager, Assessment Legal and in this role will:



Review and interpret legal information for the preparation of reports such as statistical summaries and memos Manage legal opinions provided to BC Assessment to ensure consistency Ensure documentary or testimonial evidence is located and produced in accordance with all Legal matters Contact contracted legal representatives on a variety of issues and set up and maintain applicable files Assist professional staff in the analysis and drafting of legislative and regulatory materials, legal arguments and intergovernmental communication Assist with general legal questions on a variety of matters, and file responses accordingly This position is excluded from the bargaining unit. Secondary school graduation and completion of a recognized Paralegal Certificate plus 2 years' experience in a legal office or Work-life balance
