We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join a busy automotive auction operation in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual to support the day-to-day upkeep of the site, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment. No previous experience is required, although candidates with a background in maintenance, facilities, or cleaning would be at an advantage. The Role: As a Maintenance Operative, your responsibilities will include: Sweeping and maintaining the yard, auction hall, and vehicle display areas Carrying out weeding and general upkeep of the site Completing basic maintenance duties as required Ensuring work areas remain clean, tidy, and protected Assisting with general housekeeping across the site Supporting the wider team with other reasonable duties when required The Person:



Positive attitude and willingness to work Reliable with a strong work ethic Previous maintenance, cleaning, or facilities experience is desirable but not essential Able to work independently as well as part of a team Physically fit and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
