Lead CBC Saskatchewan news coverage with editorial judgment and newsroom leadership, working in office in Regina or Saskatoon across weekends and weekdays.

This permanent, full-time assignment producer role supports daily and enterprise reporting. You will assign stories, coordinate resources, and guide coverage across video, digital, social, radio, television, and streaming platforms. The position serves audiences in Regina and Saskatoon while reporting to the Executive Producer, News.

Key Responsibilities:

- Organize multi-platform coverage and determine story priorities
- Assign staff, allocate resources, and provide editorial oversight
- Oversee researching, writing, editing, vetting, and story packaging
- Coordinate assignment desk coverage with producers and program teams




- Coach journalists and help plan special projects

Requirements:

- Seven years of journalism experience and journalism degree or equivalent
- Team leadership experience in daily multi-platform news
- Knowledge of CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s licence and flexible-hours availability
