Support Staples Canada’s IBM i servers in Richmond Hill while applying systems administration, security, and troubleshooting expertise. This hybrid position requires four onsite days weekly.

As an IBM i Systems Administrator, you will manage daily operations and maintain maximum server availability. The work includes IBM i upgrades, PTFs, Robot scheduling, vendor software, security management, and performance tuning. You will also support hosting partners and critical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead IBM i enhancement, upgrade, patching, and implementation projects
- Install cumulative PTFs and upgrade packages with hosting partners
- Set up Robot job scheduling and production promotion
- Maintain third party vendor software on IBM i
- Monitor security,



tune performance, and troubleshoot systems

Requirements:

- Five to ten years supporting IBM i systems
- Computer science or engineering degree with relevant experience
- IBM i version 7.3 or above experience
- Experience applying PTFs, upgrades, backups, restores, and security management
- Experience with Robot Suites, MIMIX, and Patrick Townsend
