The Head of Props supports Alberta Theatre Projects productions from August 27, 2012, through May 3, 2013. This annually renewable contract coordinates props requirements with designers and technical leadership. The work includes construction, purchasing, budgeting, scheduling, supervision, shop organization, and production participation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and draft construction drawings for seasonal props
- Collaborate with designers to meet show requirements
- Construct and purchase props for productions
- Schedule builds with the Technical Director
- Manage budgets, labour,



rentals, and shop supplies

Requirements:

- Experience building theatrical props across styles, techniques, and materials
- Experience with Vectorworks and associated programs
- Broad knowledge of construction techniques and tools
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Availability for scheduled meetings, rehearsals, and note sessions
