Bring CAD drafting and theatre production expertise to Theatre Calgary in Calgary, supporting technical requirements across seasonal productions and venues.

The Assistant Technical Director reports to the Production Manager and Technical Director. This full time permanent position supports production operations through technical paperwork, procurement, crew scheduling, and equipment management. The work spans the Max Bell Theatre and other venues, with weekend and evening hours during the season.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Production Department, Technical Director, and Production Manager
- Cost, source, and procure production supplies and materials
- Produce CAD plans, construction drawings, rigging plans, and schedules




- Schedule and supervise house and casual crew
- Lead technical responsibility for assigned outside-venue productions

Requirements:

- Three-plus years on a professional theatre stage
- Strong Vectorworks CAD drafting proficiency
- Theatre production and technical equipment knowledge
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
- IATSE or other unionized crew familiarity
