Government of Yukon’s Highways and Public Works seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator II for its Transportation team. This permanent full-time position supports highway, recreational road, airstrip, and facility construction and maintenance across Yukon. Experience with graders, dump trucks, loaders, or similar equipment is required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate graders, tractor trailers, and light equipment
- Support highway and recreational road maintenance
- Maintain airstrips and other Yukon facilities
- Perform minor equipment servicing and maintenance




- Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections

Requirements:

- Experience operating graders and wide-ranging heavy equipment
- Experience greasing, adjusting brakes, and changing filters
- Yukon Class 3 licence with air endorsement
- Obtain Class 1 licence within six months
- Pass TMB competency assessment and obtain dangerous goods certification
