This role is to support Staples Canada’s IBM iSeries (AS/400) servers. You will work with our vendor / partners, be responsible for the daily operations of our systems, maintain maximum availability of our IBM iSeries servers. Lead projects associated to the enhancement upgrade / patching, or implementation of recent or existing technology solutions on IBM I Maintain and upgrade third party vendor software on IBM I Setup,



maintain and monitor IBM I security as per Security group requirement Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting Maintain compliance to all IT policies and procedures Provide after hour support to address critical business and / or IT issues 5 – 10 years of experience supporting IBM I systems as system engineer / system administrator ~ Degree in computer science or engineering with relevant work experience ~ Experience in IBM I v7.
Third Party Vendor Software Upgrades ~ Experience in Robot Suites (Schedule, Console, Alert, Network etc), MIMIX configuration, Patrick Townsend setup ~ Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio etc.) Office environment – Hybrid, with 4 days onsite in Richmond Hill, subject to the hybrid policy.
