Lead evidence based recreation therapy at Fairview Health Complex, designing client centered programs for long term care residents under general supervision.

As a Recreation Therapist II, you will provide clinical leadership within an interdisciplinary team. Your work includes assessment, treatment, education, and management of client progress. You will develop engaging programs, support protected care, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. The position also includes supervising therapy assistants and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design active, creative, client centered recreation therapy programs
- Assess, treat, educate, and manage client treatment progress
- Supervise two therapy assistants and volunteers
- Participate in rounds, family conferences, and team meetings




- Evaluate programs and support quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy or related studies
- Active Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association membership
- At least three years of related clinical experience
- Experience with functional intervention and leisure education preferred
- Electronic charting experience, preferably Connect Care, preferred
