YouWill

- Coordinateandperformthefull-cyclerecruitmentprocessforinternalandexternalpositions,includinginitiatingintakemeetingswithhiringmanagers,postingjobopportunities,sourcingcandidates,screeningapplications,submittingcandidates,conductingreferencechecks,extendingoffers,andfacilitatingonboarding.




- Conductactiveandpassivecandidatesourcingthroughavarietyoftalentacquisitionchannels,includingsocialmediaplatformsandprofessionalnetworks(e.g.,LinkedIn,Indeed,andX/Twitter),learninginitiatives(e.g.,co-operativeeducationprograms),hiringevents,post-secondaryrecruitmentinitiatives,andcommunitypartnerships.
- Identifyandimplementsourcingstrategiesforbothactiveandpassivetalentpools.Buildapplicantsourcesandattractcandidatesbyconductingcreativeresearchandleveragingmultipleresourcestodevelopandmaintainadiverseandsustainabletalentpipeline.
- Ensurebestpracticesareembeddedwithinrecruitmentprocessesandinitiativestoattractqualified,diverse,andtalentedcandidateswhileenhancingtheoverallattractivenessoftheServiceasanemployer.
- Partnerwithhiringmanagerstoestablishrecruitmentrequirementsanddevelopeffectivesourcingstrategies.Providesupport,advice,andrecommendationstoensurerecruitmentprocessesalignwithbusinessneedsandhiringobjectives.
- Assisthiringmanagersindesigningandexecutingselectionprocesses,includingdraftingknowledge-andskill-basedassessments,developinginterviewquestions,andadministeringinterviews.
- Provideadvice,guidance,andtrainingtohiringmanagersthroughouttheselectionprocess,includingrecommendingselectioncriteria,interviewtechniques,andkeyareasofpriorityandfocus.
- Createanagileandresponsiverecruitmentapproachthatenhancesboththecandidateandhiringmanagerexperiencethroughoutthehiringprocess.
- Conductcandidatebackgroundchecks,includingemploymentreferences,characterreferences,creditchecks,andotherrelevantsystemchecks.ForwardcompletedfilestotheSupervisor,TalentAcquisition,forfinalreviewandapprovalpriortoextendingaconditionalofferofemployment.
- Makeverbaljobofferstosuccessfulcandidatesandcommunicateoutcomestounsuccessfulapplicants.
- Leadandsupportaneffectiveonboardingexperiencefornewhires,includingfacilitatingandimplementingtheNewEmployeeOrientation(NEO)program.
- Fosterpositiverelationshipswithpost-secondaryeducationalinstitutionsandexternalpartnerstodevelopandmaintainadiversetalentpipelinethatsupportstherecruitmentneedsoftheWaterlooRegionalPoliceService(WRPS).
- Attendrecruitmenteventsanddeliverpresentationsoncareeropportunitiesandrecruitment-relatedinformationinalignmentwiththerecruitmentoutreachstrategy.
