Serve pediatric patients at CHEO in Ottawa through food preparation, tray assembly, and protected sanitary service operations. This role includes retail locations.

As a Food Service Attendant, you will prepare formula feeds, assemble patient trays, and deliver meals to patient areas. You will also support catering functions, cash and closing procedures, dish machine operation, and retail service. CHEO operates hotel-style room service alongside Crafted at CHEO, Mr Sub, Pizza Pizza, and Starbucks locations. The work supports patients, families, staff, and hospital food service operations. The position requires public-facing communication, initiative, prioritization, and minimal supervision. Food service experience and Grade 12 are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and handle food according to department regulations




- Prepare formula feeds and assemble patient trays
- Deliver and collect trays from patient areas
- Set up catering functions and complete cash procedures
- Operate dish machines and maintain sanitary work areas

Requirements:

- Grade 12 diploma and Criminal Record Check
- Minimum six months food service operation experience
- Excellent communication and public service skills
- Physical strength sufficient for job requirements
- Food Handler Certification and bilingualism preferred
