Serve High River patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse Operating Room Technician using critical thinking and solid clinical skills. This is regular part-time work.

At High River General Hospital, the LPN ORT supports Surgical Services across operating rooms, Endoscope, PACU, and Day Surgery. The position provides patient and family centred care within an interprofessional team. Nursing processes, problem solving, decision making, and effective communication guide daily practice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide patient care across Surgical Services areas
- Support preoperative and postoperative Day Surgery care
- Respond appropriately to emergent medical and surgical situations
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Precept or mentor students and staff

Requirements:

- Accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education completion
- Active or eligible Alberta practice permit
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Accredited Perioperative Nurse Certification completion
- Ability to participate in after-hours call rotation
