We take pride in thoughtful service, traditional craftsmanship and creating a welcoming place for our community. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Café Assistant to support our growing front-of-house team. About the position Your main responsibilities will be preparing drinks, handling checkout and helping keep service organized during busy periods. You will work alongside our family team, including the team member helping customers choose their pastries and other items. This position suits someone who enjoys working with people, stays composed during a rush and takes pride in a clean, well-run café. Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee, espresso-based drinks and other beverages to café standards.
- Take orders, process payments and operate our Clover POS system accurately.
- Package pastries and takeaway orders carefully.
- Communicate clearly with the team about orders, availability and customer requests.
- Learn the menu and refer ingredient or allergy questions to the appropriate team member when unsure.
- Keep the coffee station, counter, customer areas and equipment clean.
- Wash dishes, restock supplies and complete assigned opening or closing tasks.
- Follow food-safety,



sanitation and workplace-safety procedures.
- Provide warm, respectful service to every customer. What we’re looking for
- Previous barista, café or customer-service experience is preferred.
- Confidence preparing espresso drinks is an asset.
- Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail.
- A calm, organized approach during busy service.
- Willingness to help with cleaning, dishes and everyday café tasks.
- Ability to carry out the position’s essential duties, with reasonable accommodation where required.
- Availability for daytime shifts, weekends are a must.
- Ability to read customers, cater towards them and understanding of upselling
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
