Core Responsibilities
- Guest Greeting: Welcome patrons warmly upon arrival and set a hospitable tone.
- Waitlist & Reservations: Manage digital or physical reservation books, answer phone calls, and provide realistic wait-time estimates.
- Seating Coordination: Assign tables evenly across server sections to avoid overloading staff and optimize table turnover.
- Menu & Setup: Provide menus, offer initial guidance, and keep the entrance and waiting area clean and organized.
- Team Communication: Alert servers, bussers, and kitchen staff about large parties, special requests, or dietary restrictions.
- Side Work: Restock supplies, wipe down menus, or assist with bussing and rolling silverware during slower periods, as noted by a consensus of restaurant staff on
