This Assistant Track Maintenance Foreperson supports the Track Maintenance Foreman with daily coordination and completion of track maintenance activities. The work includes inspecting, repairing, and replacing track components while guiding crews toward quality, safe work. Duties follow CN standards, operating rules, and protected work procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain track structure and right-of-way
- Coordinate daily activities and guide track forces
- Replace defective ties, rails, spikes, and anchors
- Correct track surface, alignment, and gauge deviations
- Complete work, inventory, and inspection reports
Requirements:
- Experience in track maintenance or similar conditions
- Experience guiding or supporting work crews
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to travel overnight and lift required weights
