Support Indigenous student wellness through Medicine Wheel teachings, culturally relevant programs, and individualized guidance. Help students pursue personal, emotional, spiritual, mental, physical, and academic success.

The Wellness Facilitator supports Indigenous students across school and community settings. This work includes wellness strategies, attendance monitoring, barrier resolution, and transition support. Collaboration with families, school staff, Knowledge Keepers, Elders, and community partners strengthens student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide individualized and group wellness support based on Medicine Wheel teachings
- Monitor attendance and academic progress, implementing improvement strategies
- Facilitate cultural, social, leadership, and transition programs
- Build relationships with families, communities,



and service providers
- Connect students with culturally relevant resources and experiential opportunities

Requirements:

- Degree or diploma in child and youth care, social services, or related discipline
- Four years of experience working with the Indigenous community
- Lived experience of Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing
- Knowledge of Medicine Wheel teachings, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction
- Solid collaboration, advocacy, communication, and relationship-building skills
