The Assistant Operator is relied upon for providing onsite support services for the Vacuum Truck Services Division which performs a very diverse range of activities including: hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, and power washing, and assisting with the loading and hauling of various fluids / material. The Assistant Operator will assist with these labour based tasks with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate equipment in an industrial setting
- Perform physically demanding tasks
- Professionally represent GFL and provide exceptional service to all clients
- Participate in GFL's safety programs including: safety meetings,
last minute risk assessments and job hazard assessments
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- General safety knowledge, experience and awareness
- H2S, Confined Space Entry and Fall Arrest required prior to start date
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform high labour intensity tasks in a team setting
- Positive, self-motivated attitude
