As a bilingual Proofreader (French and English), you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and precision of all client communications, conducting thorough linguistic quality control in both languages across diverse projects. This position requires a solid background in editing, the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting potential issues, ensuring that all content is error-free, on-brand, and effectively conveys the intended message.



Maintain brand-specific stylistics, and aiming for internal project consistency as well as consistency across all projects for a specific brand Offer suggestions to owners of the content to ensure document structure and content are consistent, and to clarify intended meaning Communicate questions and corrections clearly to the intended stakeholder, and opening dialogue for further discussion when necessary Align the intention of the writers and the art direction in order to provide a final quality check before the project is completed Collaborate to ensure that work produced is consistently of the highest quality Liaise with writers, art directors, graphic designers, Account Service team members, and others to validate the intention of the pieces are applied accurately and without error Troubleshoot and investigate errors, potential issues and other various problems that may arise during the linguistic quality control step of a project Work with integrity on all projects and be accountable for delivering on expectations Be open to feedback, and able to apply any brand-specific feedback to future projects Use a proofreading software within the established workflow, to run initial checks before performing a full read through and stylistic check Engage with assigned tasks and manage workload via a project management software Full professional proficiency in both French and English, with demonstrated experience proofreading and editing in both languages ~3 to 5 years of experience in some form of linguistic quality control: proofreading, copy editing, structural editing, stylistic editing, comparative editing, web editing, medical editing, etc. ~ Scientific, medical, pharmaceutical or technical background ~ Know
