As a member of our Protection & Control Engineering Services Team, you will help deliver safe, reliable, and construction-ready substation designs for transmission and distribution projects. You will develop comprehensive drawing packages—including one-line and three-line diagrams, DC schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, component layouts, electrical plans, and detailed assembly drawings—using AutoCAD® and MicroStation. You will also support fault analysis and coordination studies and develop relay settings for a wide range of substation applications, collaborating with experienced engineers and designers to solve complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality solutions for our customers. Translate customer specifications into complete, practical designs that meet all technical and project requirements. Apply electrical circuit theory and component fundamentals to develop accurate, reliable protection and control designs. Review and yellow-line protection and control wiring diagrams against schematic diagrams to verify accuracy, consistency, and design intent. Develop control panel and field equipment wiring diagrams from approved schematic designs. Develop protection and control schematics from one-line diagrams, translating system requirements into detailed design documentation. Create site‑specific one-line diagrams that accurately represent the substation configuration and project scope. Update and revise legacy customer substation schematics and wiring diagrams to support current project requirements. Collaborate with designers and engineers to resolve technical issues and maintain alignment across project deliverables. Lead intermediate‑complexity projects independently, managing scope, schedule, coordination, communication,
and other project management activities. Develop and revise RTU point assignments to support accurate monitoring, control, and SCADA integration. Perform breaker control relay setting calculations and verify results against applicable design requirements. Identify process improvement opportunities and champion practical solutions that strengthen quality, consistency, and efficiency. Develop technical training and mentor P&C; designers and engineers to build capability and promote consistent design practices. Support customer site visits, gather field information, and contribute to transparent, accurate project technical scope documents. Travel to customer sites approximately 10% of the time to support field investigations, project coordination, and scope development
