Shape UrbanLogiq’s systems layer in Vancouver, BC, connecting storage, ingestion, and query infrastructure through hybrid engineering work. This senior individual contributor role focuses on infrastructure behind a Community Intelligence Platform serving government clients. You will develop data systems in Rust, with Apache DataFusion supporting the technology base. You will collaborate with product designers, data scientists, and product developers to deliver reliable integrations and platform functionality.

Key Responsibilities

Build core data pipelines, storage layers, and query infrastructure Connect source agencies, platform systems,



and consumers Translate stakeholder requirements into executable technical plans Ensure insights and visualizations integrate cleanly with systems Advocate for provenance, lineage, and auditability

Requirements:

Five or more years of qualified software engineering experience Strong Rust expertise in shared production codebases Experience with pipelines, storage engines, or query layers Excellent communication across diverse groups Government-data background check eligibility Bring data infrastructure experience, Rust development, and governance awareness to UrbanLogiq’s Vancouver engineering team.
