Stage manage Swamp Donkey Musical Theatre’s The Wizard of Oz in Bragg Creek, coordinating rehearsals, cues, backstage activity, and safety. Swamp Donkey Musical Theatre seeks a Stage Manager for its May 22 to 24, 2020 production. You will coordinate with production, directing, musical direction, choreography, and volunteer leadership. The work includes rehearsal scheduling, attendance, prompt-book maintenance, technical rehearsals, cue calling, and emergency procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Attend production meetings and prepare distribution lists Coordinate rehearsal schedules, attendance, props, and production notes Organize technical rehearsals and call all cues Oversee backstage crews and performance attendance Manage emergency evacuation and health-safety procedures

Requirements:

Previous stage management experience is an asset Knowledge of lighting and sound equipment Excellent interpersonal, communication, team-oriented, and organizational skills Ability to lead, motivate, and multitask Calm, respectful, and helpful under pressure Bring organized stage management, cue calling, backstage leadership, and calm communication to The Wizard of Oz production.
