About the role As a Domestic Captain on Voyageur’s Dash 8-300 fleet, you’ll serve as Pilot-in-Command and be accountable for protected, compliant, and on-time operations under CARs Subpart 705. You’ll combine decisive flight leadership with strong operational control, mentoring your crew, coordinating with Dispatch and customers, and actively engaging in the company’s Safety and Risk Management system.

What you’ll do

Operate the Dash 8-300 safely as Pilot-in-Command and maintain all required Dash 8 qualifications and currency.

Lead pre-flight planning: brief crew on the route, weather, operational concerns, and safety items.

Exercise and maintain operational control throughout the flight; supervise and delegate to crew members effectively.

Coordinate seamlessly with Voyageur Dispatch, ATC, Flight Service Stations, and customers to achieve on-time performance and mission objectives.

Ensure all required maps, charts, performance data, and navigation equipment are serviceable and available on board.

Review, amend, and complete Operational Flight Plans, paperwork, and applicable manuals.

Lead safety briefings and simulated emergency scenarios; safeguard the crew, aircraft, and cargo at all times.

Champion Voyageur’s Safety and Risk Management system; comply with company policies, air regulations, and SOPs.

What you bring

Valid ATPL meeting Transport Canada requirements to operate the Dash 8.

2,000+ hours total flight time.





1,000+ hours multi-engine Pilot-in-Command time.

500+ hours PIC on turboprop or turbofan aircraft over 12,500 lbs.

Current DH8 type rating and previous CARs Subpart 705 airline operational experience are solid assets.

Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong problem-solving and transparent written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness and ability to work overnight shifts and travel to support domestic bases.

Legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit) and able to provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
