Job Summary:

The Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications using Microsoft .NET technologies and Microsoft Azure cloud services. This role involves translating business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed programming specifications and write, test, and maintain code for .NET web applications.
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases including stored procedures, queries, and views.
- Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development, deployment, and production support.
- Support application releases, upgrades, data migrations, and environment transitions.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Document technical designs, solution decisions, and system implementations clearly.
- Ensure compliance with security, accessibility (AODA/WCAG), and enterprise architecture standards.

Required Skills:
- Strong experience with .NET web application development using C#, ASP.NET, and Web APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and Azure DevOps.
- Expertise in SQL Server database design, performance tuning,



and advanced query optimization.
- Proficiency in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and waterfall.
- Experience with object-oriented design principles, contemporary design patterns, and RESTful services.
- Familiarity with version control systems, build automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite full-time following standard business hours.

Desired Skills:
- Experience developing internet-facing or cloud-native applications.
- Knowledge of CI/CD automation and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of application security, performance optimization, and operational monitoring.
- Experience providing post-implementation support and resolving production issues.
- Familiarity with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related standards.
