Job Summary:

The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing comprehensive testing efforts for large-scale systems across GUI and non-GUI environments. This role involves developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases, and collaborating closely with project teams to ensure quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle, including Agile and DevOps methodologies, with a strong focus on Cloud technologies and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and advise on testing strategies, test plans, and selection of testing tools.
- Plan and organize testing efforts for systems integration, specialized testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Execute functional, non-functional, integration, load, performance, and AODA compliance tests.
- Create and manage test data and automated test scripts.
- Collaborate with project teams, testing leads, and IT leads throughout SDLC phases.
- Identify, document, and resolve testing issues and defects.
- Support testing activities across Labour and Transportation Cluster initiatives.

Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in planning and implementing testing efforts.
- Proficiency with test management tools such as Azure DevOps and Microfocus ALM 12.5.
- Strong knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience with Cloud technology, specifically Microsoft Azure.
- Expertise in AODA compliance auditing and remediation.
- Experience with Siebel (RLSO), ESDI, and other Ministry applications.
- Familiarity with mainframe tools (TSO/SPF), databases (IMS/DB2/SQL/Oracle), and UNIX environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication,



and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of at least one programming language.
- Experience coding automated test scripts and working with automated testing tools.
- Understanding of object-oriented testing methods.
- Familiarity with information retrieval packages and Information Management principles.
- Experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications.
- Knowledge of Licensing and Control System (LCS) and legacy mainframe systems.
- Experience with ReadyAPI, web services, API testing, OPA, and Java technologies.
- Experience with payment gateway services (MPG/EPS) and .NET platform.
