Job Description

As AECOM continues to expand our Water business in Winnipeg, Manitoba, we're looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to help lead the delivery of complex municipal wastewater projects while driving the growth of our practice across Manitoba.

In this strategic role, you'll combine technical excellence with project leadership, overseeing the planning, design, and delivery of critical infrastructure projects from concept through construction, as an Owner Advisor as well as a Designer. You'll also play a key role in developing client relationships, leading pursuits, and winning recent work, helping shape the future of AECOM's water business in the region.

If you're an accomplished engineering leader with a proven track record delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects—and you're looking for an opportunity to influence both projects and business growth—we'd love to hear from you.

This is a regular, part time role working 32 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Technical Oversight — Review and engage in engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents; provide guidance to ensure quality, regulatory compliance, feasibility and constructability. Coordinate the work of a multi-discipline team of engineers.

- Stakeholder Coordination — Collaborate with engineers, contractors, government agencies, owners, and the public to ensure alignment and compliance.
- Project Planning & Delivery — Develop, manage, and review project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments for water and wastewater projects.
- Contract & Procurement Management — Prepare and review RFPs, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Budget & Financial Management — Track and review expenditures, forecast costs, and ensure financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk & Issue Management — Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues that arise during design or construction.
- Reporting & Documentation — Prepare progress reports, presentations, and documentation for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Sustainability & Innovation — Integrate best practices in water conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable infrastructure.
- Business Development – Identify and pursue municipal water/wastewater/conveyance opportunities, including supporting proposal development, Statement of Qualifications, technical proposals, and presentations.
