Support hospital care in Milton through safe patient transport, equipment handling, and efficient movement across Halton Healthcare facilities. This is temporary full time work.

Working within Environmental Services, the Porter transports patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed as directed. You will also move charts, specimens, pharmaceuticals, waste, recycling, and equipment through various clinical areas. The approximately one-year contract requires adaptability, physical ability, and respectful communication with patients, visitors, staff, and medical personnel. Rotating weekends and changing operational hours apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Transport patients to treatment and diagnostic areas
- Move charts, specimens, pharmaceuticals, and required equipment
- Transport soiled linen, waste,



and recycling as needed
- Use hand-held technology for assigned tasks
- Clean and collect equipment when necessary

Requirements:

- Recent experience in a related environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confidence working across clinical settings and facilities
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, push, and lift
- Ability to work around infection, waste, odors, and interruptions
