About the Role

A growing Media and Broadcasting company based in Surrey, BC is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Traffic Support Specialist to join our team.

This role is primarily responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable Cycle , including invoicing, payment processing, collections, reconciliation, and financial reporting. The position will also provide backup support to the Traffic Department when coverage is required , assisting with commercial scheduling and broadcast logs.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable (Primary Role)
Prepare and issue accurate client invoices based on contracts and sales orders
Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks and internal systems
Support month-end reporting and financial reconciliation
Coordinate between accounting, sales, and broadcasting operations and may involve learning technical broadcast scheduling systems.

Traffic Coordination Support (Coverage)
Assist with scheduling and placement of radio commercials
Support preparation of daily commercial logs using Aquira traffic software :




Coordinate with sales and programming teams to ensure commercials air as scheduled
Assist with resolving scheduling or log discrepancies

Qualifications
Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration :
Minimum 2 years experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software :
Robust attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Experience in broadcasting or media is considered an asset :
English required; Punjabi or Hindi considered an asse
