Overview

The Private Caregiver/PSW provides respectful, person-centred support in a private care setting. The role helps individuals maintain comfort, dignity, daily routines, and independence while supporting their personal care needs.

Duties
Assist with patient care, including daily routines and secure mobility; support transfer to hospital 3 times a week.
Prepare meals, and complete light cleaning to maintain a comfortable home setting.
Support medication administration according to the individual’s care plan and established instructions.
Provide attentive compassion care, including companion care, and support for an individual with disabilities, adapting assistance to the person’s needs.

Qualifications

Required: Practical caregiving skills, patience, clear communication, and the ability to assist with personal care, meal preparation, and secure mobility. Preferred: Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home care, senior care, nursing, patient care, medication administration, or supporting individuals with disabilities.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
