Hiring for Class 5 company drivers for Local 5-Ton in Edmonton

We are seeking a motivated and dependable 5 Ton Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 5-ton truck to transport goods, materials, and equipment to various destinations. Duties
Safely operate a 5-ton truck for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling, ensuring proper securing of loads for transit
Assist with warehouse activities including moving goods within the facility and preparing shipments for dispatch
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are maintained
Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation




Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring deliveries are made on time and in positive condition

Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating a 5-ton truck
Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with heavy trucks such as 5-ton vehicles
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of cargo safely and efficiently
Experience with forklift operation is preferred; certification is a plus
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is highly desirable
Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy vehicle operation and cargo handling
Ability to work independently, demonstrate reliability, and maintain a positive attitude
