Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our reputable CPA firm. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing complex accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting our clients with expert financial services. This position offers an opportunity to work within a cooperative environment, utilizing advanced accounting software and tools to deliver exceptional service. The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various accounting processes, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and auditing, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, and account reconciliations using accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Profile.
Assist with CRA auditing processes by preparing documentation and supporting schedules for external audits and reviews.
Preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns.

Qualifications




Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role within a CPA firm or financial services environment.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Profile, and other relevant platforms.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, payroll, HST and account analysis.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is preferred but not required.
Ability to communicate in Russian.
