Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications and providing safe, effective pharmacy services. The role may involve working in a hospital or other healthcare setting and requires careful attention to detail, explicit communication, and a commitment to patient care.

Duties
Assist pharmacists with preparing, packaging, labeling, and distributing medications in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.
Support medication inventory tasks, including receiving, organizing, and monitoring stock for expiration dates.
Enter and maintain accurate medication and patient records while protecting confidential information.
Communicate with patients and healthcare staff to help address routine questions and direct clinical concerns to the pharmacist.
Use medical terminology and pharmacy systems to support accurate order processing and documentation.
Follow established safety and infection-control practices when handling medications and working in patient-care areas.




Assist with medication administration workflows only as permitted by applicable laws, training, and facility policy, and under appropriate supervision.

Requirements
Pharmacy technician experience is preferred, Must know Kroll.
Familiarity with patient care practices, medical terminology, and medication-handling procedures is desirable.
Current pharmacy technician registration, certification, or licensure as required by the applicable jurisdiction and employer.
Robust attention to detail, organization, communication, and customer-service skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
Commitment to safe medication practices and willingness to complete required training.

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
