Responsible for weld cell set-up and editing as needed
Performs robot programming as needed
Initiate maintenance PM schedule on robot and automated systems in Weld Cell
Troubleshoots controllers, electrical and mechanical repairs
Ensures welding process is effective and running efficiently
Conducts training for weld cell employees for specific job functions
Conducts weld penetration testing frequency on control plan
Performs weld adjustments
Responsible for weld quality and scrap, review and analyze weld scrap on a daily basis
Performs TIG and MIG welding when required (Weld Repair)
Participates in the Continuous Improvement Process and applies team principles, identifying areas for improvement, assisting with problem solving and recommending changes
Assist with providing leadership in problem solving and the concept of continual improvement
Consults with various departments, suppliers and vendors to exchange information in order to resolve issues
Supports the Wescast Way which includes the Scanlon Principles, Company Values, Lean and Innovation
Supports and participates in the Continuous Improvement Initiatives
Complies with company policies and procedures
Participates in the Continuous Improvement Process and applies team principles, identifying areas for improvement,

Retains a safe workplace, wearing protective clothing, using safety equipment, following protected working procedures, reporting unsafe or unhealthy situations
Maintains a clean work workplace in immediate work area as well as general facility

Qualifications:

· 3 years experience in automotive industry or automotive supplier preferred but can be in related manufacturing environment.

· Must demonstrate high level of initiative as well as exceptional problem solving and analytical skills

· Experience in foundry, metal, aluminum or steel industries preferred

· Must have robust written and verbal communication skills

· Experience with MS Project, MS Excel and MS Office
