SMH Equipment is hiring the position of Heavy Duty Mechanic. This position will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs and maintenance of Merlo telescopic machines and Yanmar tractors.

Requirements:

Main responsibilities:
Employ diagnostic methodologies to determine repairs required over the telephone and on-site;
Explain diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals;
Efficiently plan and manage repairs and scheduled maintenance;
Complete the various service documents clearly within the prescribed time;
Order parts needed to repair and maintain equipment;
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and desired skills:
Valid class 5 driver’s license and a clean abstract;

· Electric and Hydraulic experience would be considered a outstanding asset;

· Willingness to learn;




Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills;
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
Solid interpersonal and communication skills;
High level of comfort in using a computer;
Positive organization and time management skills;
Results-focused;
Customer service-oriented;

Job Types: Full time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $30.00-$55.00 per hour
