Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Prep Cook to join our team. This role combines customer service with food preparation, providing an engaging experience for both our guests and team members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cooking, and serving in a dynamic restaurant environment.

Pay: $18.25 per hour + bi-weekly tips.

Duties
Greet customers with a welcoming attitude and take their orders accurately at the cashier station
Handle cash transactions efficiently and provide correct change
Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and safety standards
Cook food items as directed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and cooking equipment
Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and prepared foods
Assist in serving food to customers when needed, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Restock supplies and ingredients as necessary to ensure smooth kitchen operations




Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment

Skills
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Excellent serving skills with a friendly demeanor and ability to engage with customers
Ability to multitask efficiently in a quick-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Positive communication skills for working effectively with team members and customers
Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if require

Availability Requirements:

Must be available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Flexibility to work on other days is preferred.
